"Thanks to all their volunteers and those that donate, we didn't have to worry about keeping our kids in our house or food on the table. They just aren't paying a bill, they are giving you peace of mind, breathing room, time to think, a moment to relax, doubt removed; if only for a moment.

Those are the things that you need while you are battling cancer. Because cancer doesn't care if you are a mother of two and you don't have time to "fight" with it. Pay It Forward Fund took away some of my stress, and when you are fighting cancer, that is a really hard thing to do! "Pay It Forward was a GODSEND!  We had the health insurance, but it didn’t cover everything.  When we received the $1,800 bill from the radiation oncologist, we had no idea where the money was going to come from to pay it.  Then we learned about Pay It Forward.  I almost cried when I got the call saying we were accepted, and $1500 would go toward paying off that bill.  I don’t know how we would have done it without that fund."

"Breast cancer came as such a surprise, as I'm sure it does for everyone who has had to live through it.  No one can be prepared for the bills that start coming through from all of the tests.  Even with insurance, there are still co-pays and with cancer, those co-pays add up quickly.  Some tests were denied by insurance initially and we were extremely concerned about how we would be able to pay our bills.
